Victorious Secrets Win!
Votes from across America help Detroit group land the gig of a lifetime. The summer-long, nationwide search for the freecreditscore.com band comes to an exciting end as The Victorious Secrets, a band from Detroit, is crowned the winner. The band emerged as America's favorite in a competition that began with more than 100 hopefuls that performed in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Most impressively, The Victorious Secrets had the distinction of being the only finalist to enter the search through online submission. Entrants from anywhere in the country had the opportunity to submit their videos for the chance to become the freecreditscore.com band.
In the end, The Victorious Secrets prevailed over the competition with their originality, pop-rock style and tongue-in-cheek humor. As a result, this Michigan crew takes home the ultimate prize. More than half a million unique visits to freecreditscoreband.com from all over America helped select the winner. Bass player Bryon Rossi (Schaeffer), drummer Daniel Rossi (Breath & Dirt), keyboard player Stephen Saputo (Manna & Quail), and guitarists Daniel Zott (Great Fiction)) and Michael Mulliniks have been involved in the Detroit music scene for years. As their popularity soared and their loyal following swelled, the group caught the eye of local venues and played notable places, including The Fillmore Detroit and Comerica Park.
From hometown sweethearts to online winning sensations, The Victorious Secrets have the opportunity to become pop culture icons and star in the freecreditscore.com national ad campaign created by The Martin Agency. The new commercials are set to debut during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12, 2010. As the freecreditscore.com band, they also will receive a $10,000 check, an exclusive Gibson Guitar prize package and Pearl drum kits together valued at $12,000, and a studio session with music industry veterans. They also will walk the red carpet at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and have the opportunity to perform on the 2010 VMA Tour. "The level of talent and dedication that we saw from the finalists was truly impressive," said Chris Moloney, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for the U.S. Consumer Direct business unit of Experian. "Each of the bands represented different music genres, backgrounds and regions in America. With the anticipation building since earlier this summer, we're so excited to reach this day when America helped us choose the winner of the freecreditscore.com band search. The Victorious Secretsˋ passion for music really shone through. We're thrilled to have them on board and look forward to the next leg of the journey."
