Jennifer Westwood CD Release
HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALER CELEBRATES FOR A CAUSE
Biker Bob's Harley Davidson of Taylor is opening its doors for a free, all-ages event, hoping to raise support and awareness for Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Local singer Jennifer Westwood and her band will be performing songs from their brand new CD, Dishwater Blonde, and donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of CD's to Penrickton. Westwood brings a modern country rock sound with her new release, Dishwater Blonde, the title track that cuts through the smoke filled air to reveal a simplistic take on life. With tracks like Natrual Disaster, Home, & the seductive, Little Goes a Long Way, Westwood delivers what Nashville looks for, realistics sounds, delivered from the heart.
Santa will be on hand for photo ops, and raffle tickets for a new Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle will be available to support Penrickton as well. Visit Jennifer's website for updates.
Penrickton is a private, non-profit 5-day residential and day care agency in Taylor, Michigan that serves blind, multi-disabled children ages 1-12. No fees are ever charged to families and all financial support is raised from individuals, service clubs, corporations, and foundations. Penrickton was established in 1952 by three local families as a day nursery for blind pre-schoolers because no such program existed. Over the years, Penrickton has changed to meet the needs of the community, and currently specializes in treating blind children ages 1-12 with at least one additional handicap such as deafness, cerebral palsy, brain damage, and developmental delay. Programs are designed to meet the individualized needs of each child and include training in the areas of self care, travel skills, motor skills , and language acquisition. Penrickton Center is also nationally reognized as the leader and proponent of the concept of active learning.
Biker Bob's has been a long time supporter of Penrickton and plans to continue to support the organization into the future along with Ms. Westwood. The event will take place on December 17th at 14100 Telegraph Road in Taylor, Mi from 1-3 and the public is invited.
