$10,000 "Sign My Band" Contest Week 1
The Hayloft kicked off their $10,000 "Sign My Band" Contest this past Friday night with the first four bands battling it out for a spot in the Semi-Finals, and a chance to move one step closer that Grand Prize! These battles can be quite fun for fans, and tonight it was quite evident as all 4 bands brought their share of fans to cheer (and vote) for their favorites! The Orange Marsupials got things rolling with their off the hook reggae rock, followed by the Matt Cason Project, the in your face Overtow, who by the way pulled off some awesome covers not usually heard live, while Kardia finished out the night with their blend of scream laced alt rock. Although all bands were spectacular, as with all battles, there can only be one winner each week, and in the end, it was Kardia who was announced the winner of Week 1! Congratulations to Kardia as well as all the bands who gave us what we like the most, an awesome night of Detroit Rock & Roll!
