Local Michigan Band, Lightning Love, was recently hand picked by the editors of Billboard.com to participate in the “Cruze-ing to Vegas-Battle of The Bands” where 18 bands from 3 different regions battled it out online for a chance to make the finals. Dr2 is please to report that Ypsilanti’s own Lightning Love finished in the top spot of the Midwest Region and are gearing up for a cross country road trip in their very own Chevy Cruze to perform at the Freemont Experience in Downtown Las Vegas for a chance to appear on the May 22nd, 2011 Billboard Music Awards on ABC!

Deluxxe Entertainment and Chaos Theory present the 2nd Annual Fall Metal Festival at the Emerald Theatre in Mt Clemens on Saturday, December 4. Metal mayhem specialists Chaos Theory headline the show along with a who's who of local Detroit Hard Rock and metal bands including: Hell Rides North, Mound Road Engine, Burn The Hearse, Mob Local, and, opening the show is Black Dawn. Doors are at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10.00 at the door for this all-ages show. Public Invited to Party Inside Historical Warehouse featuring 10,000 Square Feet of Freakishly Fun Halloween Horrors on Saturday Oct. 23

The 1st Annual HellBent Halloween Party is on Saturday October 23 at the Russell Industrial Center (1600 Clay Avenue) in Detroit. This spine-tingling bash is located inside a 10,000 square foot warehouse on the fifth floor of building one. Doors are at 9 p.m. and ages 21 and over are welcome to attend. Tickets are just $15 in advance on Neptix (www.neptix.com) and $20 at the door. Ticket prices include two complimentary alcoholic beverages plus free Nikki's pizza at Midnight! Fifth Way To Release Video

Detroit rockers Fifth Way are set to debut the release of the music video for their song "Stomping Ground" at the Magic Bag Theater in Ferndale on Friday, November 5th. Produced by director, Sean Babas, the video features band performance clips along with an intricate story line. Doors are at 8:00 pm; tickets are $8 and ages 18 and over are welcome to attend. Frequency 54 and Ghosts of August open the night. Fifth Way closes the show with a 90-minute set featuring new music slated for their sophomore album.

The People's Arts Festival Celebrates Fourth Anniversary at Russell Industrial Center

Detroit's Largest FREE Festival to Feature Over 150 Artists and 35 Bands Plus Fashion and Film

on August 28 & 29, 2010

The People's Arts Festival (PAF), the largest free arts and music festival in the City of Detroit, will celebrate its Fourth Anniversary this year with an expanded roster of artists, performers, filmmakers and musicians on Saturday August 28 and Sunday August 29, 2010.  Held at the Russell Industrial Center (1600 Clay Avenue in Detroit - off the I-75 Clay exit) from 11 a.m. to Midnight on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. This event is family friendly, and all ages are encouraged to attend.
