The Bloids To Perform at Blender's Exclusive SXSW Party


 Ann Arbor, Michigan based artists The Bloids will be performing at Blender magazine's exclusive SXSW party on Friday, March 14, 2008 in Austin, Texas.  This invite only soiree will host a virtual who's who of the music industry's most sought after power players. Hot national buzz worthy acts Diplo, A-Trak, and The Cool Kidz, will also be appearing, along with a DJ set by Kevin Barnes of Montreal.

Hailing from Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, The Bloids have steadily been gaining national notice since winning Blender magazine's “Battle of the Bands” in 2007.  Their song Breakdown Calling stood out among thousands of entries to earn the band top honors. The Bloids compelling brand of soulful rock is showcased on their debut CD
Memories of Things I've Never Done. The disc, which has been receiving airplay on Hot A/C stations across the country, was also licensed for VH1's
hit TV show “Keeping Up with The Kardashians.”

Following their SXSW appearance, The Bloids are off to The Palms in Las Vegas to for a recording session at the new Palms Recording Studio, where platinum artists The Killers, Lil' Jon, and Britney Spears recently cut tracks.

With a national tour in the works, The Bloids are certainly one of Michigan's hottest new rising stars.
