paulinachristinachrissMt. Clemens, MI – Rock the Runwaytm is back at the Emerald for their Rock the Runway Appreciation Party February 18th!! This time they went right to the top, enlisting Detroit’s own Embarco Entertainment to put together a showcase featuring four young women who have been taking the Detroit music scene by storm! Embarco hosts this showcase of Detroit’s up and coming female singer songwriters live at the Emerald Theatre on Saturday, February 18 with Paulina Jayne, Kaleido, Alyssa Simmons and Jennifer Westwood.  Joining them will be special guests Mondays Lie and Canadian hip hop rockers, Mic Lordz & Sauce Funky. Stepping up once again, RTRtm  will once again be supporting a local charity, donating a portion of the proceeds to “Wigs 4 Kids”             .

simmons2jenniferTeenager Paulina Jayne is already getting rave reviews from Detroit press and influential voices in Nashville.  She has been writing her own music for years and draws from her own experiences when creating her music.  She recently hosted an on-air performance with 99.5 WYCD (click here to watch).

Rocker Christina Chriss of Kaleido has been perfecting her sound for a few years on the Detroit scene and recently has been able to share the stage with Blondie, Janelle Monae, Maroon 5, Drake, Bruno Mars and more.  She will take the stage at the Emerald Theatre with her band Kaleido.

Alyssa Simmons’ sound has been called a modern day mix of pop and old school soul.  Hailing from Romeo, she started performing at the age of nine and by the age of thirteen won the “Detroit Super Singer” competition.  Her latest release, the EP I’m Ready, is another example of her soulful style.

Jennifer Westwood is yet another soulful Detroit artist set to burst onto the national scene.  Her country-influenced rock style wins over critics and fans alike.  She started singing in the church choir and was soon singing professional gigs in commercials and back-up vocals.
