Boy it’s a busy time of year around Detroit, lot’s of good show’s going down lately, and a whole lot more on the horizon. Spent last Friday over at Bullfrog Bar & Grille in Redford for the WRIF World Bar Tour with a lineup almost as long as the Harley Fest! Starting off around 6:30 and running till close, The Bullfrog packed them in on a night that featured a Matt Austin Band set unlike any Dr2 has seen from this trio, including a preview of a new track and an awesome Hendrix cover! Having the likes of Dismantle, No Justus, Severance, Soul Circus & Ballz Deluxe on the same bill gave it a festival like feel.
Hit the Brick V party thing over at The Emerald where Dr2 had a riot! Not a huge crowd, but not too bad as Vinny Ricco threw his annual bash. Crazy night as there were Jaeger Girls, Pole Dancers & Brick smashers! This Wednesday the 23rd head on over to the Emerald as LA Gunns swings through the Clem with a slew of local bands, including Dangerous Pursuit, Graveyard Tan, and featuring Mansfield Park’s CD Release Party for their debut effort. Thursday brings us to TNT’s as 89X I’m With The Band 2.0 invades the eastside rock club for week 3 of their $10,000 giveaway. Dr2 will be in the house for The Hotness CD Release Party Saturday the 19th for their debut disc “3rd Times a charm” down at Small’s with special guest Universal Temple Of Divine Power & The Beggars!
