On The Horizon
Things will be heating up around Detroit with lots of action on the horizon including some great looking shows, festivals, and the Detroit Music Awards. Thursday night is two fold as The Muggs will storm The Emerald Theater in The Clem along with Class Three Overbite & Bluesong. Should be a great show as The Muggs, who recently competed on Fox TV’s The Next Great American Band, always bring that greasy Detroit rock & roll! Also Thursday night just down the way, TnT’s presents week 4 of the $10,000 89X I’m With The Band version 2.0 contest with Tiny Lightning, Nine8Stall, Deadringer, Kardo, and Dharma Initiative will be battling it out for their shot at the $10K & recording time.....read more...

Friday has Radiocraft over at The Dawg House in Clinton Twp in support of the Underland CD Release party with Shram dropping in for a set before heading off on tour with The Dreaming. Bull Frog over in Redford will see another hot show with Matt Austin Band hopping in along with Spades Alone & Mound Road Engine to shake the place up a bit! Pop Evil & The Hard Lessons will be at the Kid Rock After Party at the Intersection over in Grand Rapids, we’ve heard a lot about Pop Evil and can’t wait for a shot to see these guys before it’s too late! Saturday you cam catch Soul Circus, Ballz Deluxe & Broke in Taylor at the Perfect Pitcher. The Detroit Winter Blast is schedule to roll the weekend of February 8-10, keep an eye open as this event always hosts some hot acts with a lot of cold fun! It’s that time of year again as the Detroit Music Awards are now accepting nominations for the 2008 DMA’s, anyone can submit nominations, so check it out. Don’t forget tonight over at the Dawg House you can catch Gods Of Kansas from Grand Rapids along with Dangerous Pursuit.
